Abstract

The Autonomous University of Yucatán has made use of Learning Management Systems to support their face-to-face educational programs since 2003, and at this moment, has established a tool under the name of UADY Virtual, structured on the freely distributed software MOODLE. This study has the goal of identifying how interactions happen in UADY Virtual; for this purpose, social sciences professors with experience in the development of courses in UADY Virtual teachers were interviewed, using a semi-structured interview script, and Gibb’s model was used to make a concept-based on codification. It is possible to infer that UADY Virtual propitiates interactions between professors and students, along with those between students, however, much work still needs to be done about student-content interactions and those between professors.
