Training of communicative competence in Tourism Training Centers

Abstract

The initial training process of tourism personnel in the different basic specialties is developed in the Tourism Training Centers, this professional pedagogical process is based on a solid school-company link for the achievement of a competent professional in the different areas. The theoretical reflection carried out, the experience of the authors and the results of the applied research methods and techniques, allowed us to know that the shop assistants of tourist shops present deficiencies in terms of the development of communicative competence that facilitates the realization of an effective management of sales. The objective of this article is to characterize the formative process of the communicative competence of the shop assistants of the tourist shops. The methods used in the development of the research were: document analysis, interviews, observation of sales people in exercise and considered experiences of the shop assistants, allowed to verify the need to improve the process of training communicative competence.
