Abstract

This article focuses on the need for the use of virtual space in the Cuban university as a prerogative for the appreciation of the arts. As key points for this research, we took into consideration long-time established essential criteria related to the art appreciation skills, as well as the teacher experiences regarding the setup and development of virtual classrooms in the Art Education department, in Universidad Central “Marta Abreu” de Las Villas (UCLV, Spanish Acronym). We used participatory action research as our main methodology, from which emerges the construct that is exposed in the work. The results offered represent a pedagogical alternative for the treatment of the art appreciation skills from virtual contexts with a favorable impact on the career for the improvement of the graduate's training in artistic education.
