This work presents the results of the analysis of the current status of artistic education in the curriculum offered by the National Pedagogical University Francisco Morazán of Honduras, with the intention of proposing a pedagogical strategy for the incorporation of artistic education as a cross-cutting axis in teacher training. In this way, it seeks to contribute to the strengthening of creativity, critical thinking, divergent thinking, and propositional skills of the students who are being trained in the institution's teaching programs. This part of the study has been conducted using qualitative methodology with a documentary design, and among its results, it has found scientific evidence that provides an opportunity to make proposals aligned with the study's objectives.
