GOOD EDUCATIONAL PRACTICES IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF SKILLS IN THE DIGITAL AGE

The information and knowledge society that characterizes the 21st century The 21st century poses new challenges for the education system, among which the development of transferable competencies and skills stands out as a basic strategy for producing relevant and effective learning outcomes for individuals throughout their lives. Consequently, it is necessary to approach teaching as a learning-orientation process, creating the conditions for students not only to acquire knowledge, but also to develop skills and acquire strategies that allow them to act independently, with commitment, and creativity, to solve the problems they will face in their personal and professional futures.

This is closely linked to the universe of knowledge and culture possessed by the agents involved in the educational process, not only to operate with the concepts of their area of study, but also to acquire skills to access scientific advances contained in different sources and to perform cognitive management of information, which allows them to convert that information into knowledge, with the efficient use of technological resources. Specifically, this issue offers the opportunity to submit contributions in its MONOGRAPHIC section that address research, innovations, and experiences in educational practice related to the aforementioned topic, tailored to the demands of today's society.

We remind you that the journal regularly welcomes contributions to the RESEARCH IN EDUCATION section. This section will contain works unrelated to the monograph topic and is an opportunity for authors to publish articles derived from educational research. Therefore, their content must include the essential elements of the process (theoretical framework, methodology, results, and discussion), and must adhere to the journal's standard structure for this type of article.
