Abstract

This article presents research linked to an institutional project related to education, values, citizenship and the challenges for the development of the personality of the Matanzas university professional. An educational program is presented with a flexible curriculum that contributes to promoting university social responsibility as a value for the comprehensive training of the graduate in Sociocultural Management for the Development of the Municipal University Center of Cárdenas, with the purpose of modifying the educational curriculum of said university career. A qualitative methodological approach was used where collaborative action research is used, grounded theory as a method and document review, analysis-synthesis and interview as techniques. The program's methodology contributes to pedagogical theory, as it focuses on a multidisciplinary and contextualized approach in the institutional environment, by using significant and experiential learning in the real world carried out in the study of university social responsibility. The main results show the need to make curricular changes and in the didactic elements that are assumed in the training of the future sociocultural manager.
