Abstract

This study aims to strengthen local cultural identity as a foundation for the comprehensive training of teachers in contemporary Cuban society. Through an initial diagnosis, strengths and weaknesses in the training process were identified, leading to the design of a strategy structured around four key pillars: developing a sense of belonging and identity, fostering values and professional ethics, connecting with social and educational realities, and promoting active participation in cultural life. For its implementation, a mixed-methods approach was applied, combining theoretical and empirical methods with statistical analysis. The results highlight the need for dynamic strategies that encourage meaningful learning and contribute to the enhancement of teachers’ comprehensive training.
