Abstract

The purpose of the study is to show the interaction of the use of the virtual platform to take on the new potential challenges of the teacher during the practice of teaching-learning. The theoretical arguments are based on three components for the understanding of technology: use of tools to know and value the student, ICT to work on coexistence standards and the Integration of ICT tools in learning sessions. The study shows an experimental design of a quasi-experimental type, in an intentional non-probabilistic sample of 40 teachers from a Public Institution of Regular Basic Education of Metropolitan Lima. To obtain the data, a questionnaire was provided that allowed identifying the level of understanding of the technology applied before and after the course designed in Moodle, reaching the conclusion. The application of the Moodle platform tools allowed the teacher, the understanding of technology in its three components mentioned above; the practice of these leads to a new potential teaching feature in the new pedagogical scenario.
