Special Pedagogy is the science in charge of the education of those with special educational needs. The research Project of systematization of the theoretical and methodological foundations of Special Education in Cuba, at the Central University "Marta Abreu Felix Varela Morales" campus in Santa Clara, Villa Clara, provides a set of considerations that support the nature of science by itself. A science to be considered as such must be based on a set of principles. The current article deals with the special pedagogy principles as a rule to be taken.
