Abstract

The Fourth Industrial Revolution is transforming the supply of the labour market and therefore the competences required in the performance of administrative functions derived from the disruption of technologies. The aim of the study is to determine the current and future needs to be met by graduates of Bachelor's degree programmes in Business Administration in Mexico and, based on this, to identify the skills required in their training to respond to these demands. The methodology applied consisted of documentary research accompanied by the technique of content analysis. The results indicate that the handling of technologies for managing big data, specialisation, mastery of the English language and knowledge of specialised information systems are essential competences in the management of processes in the areas of Administration, Manufacturing, Logistics and Human Resources. In addition, the greatest job opportunities will be in the MIPYMES sector and the main challenges are associated with decision-making through new management models based on Business Intelligence.
