Abstract

We find in pedagogical practice, that the students have inadequacies in developing experimental skills for practical work. They show a tendency towards execution, which affect them cognitive independence. This is considered relevant. One cause of this difficulty, identified in the literature, is the practical work carried out by means of so-called "cooking recipes". The authors concentrated their research action onthe experimental design, because it is akey phase for any experimental work. As a result, they propose didactic scaffolding that they have called experiment design box. The authors used the theoretical-experimental procedure of modelling the activity to conform theexperiment design box. An experiment of model and a pedagogical pre-experiment were carried out to test the functionality and pertinence of the experiment design box, which was able to attenuate the tendency to execution and to raise the degree of independent performing of the student when they solve experimental tasks of Biology.
