Active methodologies within the framework of the New Mexican School, from a socio-constructivist perspective

The digital revolution has significantly impacted the educational context, including the design and implementation of learning strategies. The purpose of this study was to explain the selection and implementation processes of gamification as an active methodology that seeks to enhance the learning of elementary school students within the framework of the New Mexican School. The research was qualitative and interpretive, using a survey technique as an instrument, a questionnaire administered to two preschoolers using Google Forms. The results of the study reflected a favorable perception of the implementation of gamification as an active methodology in the Zone of Proximal Development of students, improving in aspects such as motivation, academic performance, and the connection between the three school projects: classroom, school, and community of the New Mexican School.
