Abstract

The study proposed a sociocultural intervention program from pre-professional practice of the future Metallurgy and Materials engineer. To fulfill this objective the analysis - synthesis method was used, interview and the revision of documents were applied as techniques. A methodology that describes how to proceed for its implementation and a proposal of activities developed from the training model of this professional and suggestions for evaluating the results of the program applied, were obtained. Its implementation contributes to enrich the formation labor carried out by professors of the Metallurgic engineering career when extending educational activities to other contexts, enriching the educational project and including objectives in their work practice and the role of specialists from other areas in the formative process.
