Abstract

Educational research in Cuba, has obtained numerous high quality results and relevant international recognition. However, there is evidence of the existence of deficiencies in scientific activities in the last 20-25 years, which must be assumed as "challenges" that the Cuban community of educational researchers must overcome. The most important causes are systematized and presented, as well as their essential causes from the epistemological, sociological and methodology research perspective. The message, although renewed, remains the same: only awareness of the negative consequences of the identified deficiencies and the joint work of the national scientific community can reverse the situation, for the good of the country.
