Abstract

The improvement of the work performance of the directors of Research Centers is a way to achieve progress towards the excellence of these, by constituting one of the fundamental sources of the development of science and innovation. The development of managerial skills is a fundamental aspect in the educational processes that are carried out in universities. In correspondence with the above, this work addresses the problem with the objective of managing it from the identification of the skills that are required for an effective management responsibility demanded by them. From the methodological point of view, a logical sequence of activities is defined with the use of group dynamics, documentary analysis, studies of good practices and structured interviews, which constitutes a viable tool for its application in practice, which could be verified through validation through the experts' criteria, the solutions provided, the intangible benefits that it reports and its application to a position with the aim of verifying that as a way of proceeding it is applicable.
