Abstract

The article presents emerging research methodologies based on technological advances, as a proposal to educational research in foreign languages. Describes its characteristics, contributions and relationship to the study of languages. This information is presented as an approach to recent trends in research, contrasting the approaches and methodologies traditionally used in linguistic research with those developed through technology and integrating resources through collaboration and the application of interdisciplinary knowledge. Some limitations and challenges are also mentioned in order to promote a reflection on the changes in the criteria established by traditional methods. This information can contribute to the advancement of methodological knowledge and bring about substantial changes in the way research is conceived and conducted in foreign languages.
