INFORMATICS SKILLS IN SERVICE TO THE MUSICAL INICIATION IN SANTIAGO DE CALI

The National Ministry of Education of Colombia establishes artistic education for students as one of the objectives for primary education. However, there are no teachers with academic training in music. This article is about a preliminary proposal of a computer tool containing the non-personal components of the teaching-learning process of musical initiation to be used by generalist teachers as a mediator in the development of the teaching-learning process of musical initiation in first grade of basic education primary. This research presents the results of a diagnosis based on a survey of teachers in the municipality of Cali to determine potentials and limitations that lead to the development of a didactic proposal based on the use of information and communication technologies. The information obtained was processed using SPSS and revealed, among other aspects, the acceptance of the proposal by teachers of the sample, the availability of computer resources in schools and the teachers’ mastery of computer skills , as well as the non-availability of software that allows them to work on musical initiation.
