Abstract

The need to change the paradigm that mathematical knowledge is unreachable and to favour the idea that this knowledge is universal, regardless of gender, ethnicity, social status and academic performance, constitutes a challenge for teachers who impart this discipline. The fact of not having the necessary competences to take the subject of mathematics in high school, generates difficulties in the student's learning of this discipline, therefore the importance of applying alternatives that favour academic progress and break with traditionalist approaches. The integration of technologies in the mathematics teaching-learning process from the basic levels is a way to improve the quality of the process. Precisely in this article, the use of innovative teaching and learning strategies such as Mobile-learning and STEAM concatenated with GeoGebra software to develop mathematical competences in high school students will be analyzed.
