The evaluation of the English subject in medical sciences careers is an essential aspect within the teaching-learning process, in any of the existing forms according to the study plans. It is intended to evaluate the acquisition of language by the students, an aspect that is affected by various aspects, thus the final evaluation of each semester is merely qualitative, while the formative evaluation generally remains in the background. The development of communicative competence is evaluated, more focused on the teaching content than on the actual acquisition of individual and group skills. A formative evaluation requires the implementation of other forms of evaluation, where the student does not think about the grade he wants or needs to acquire, but rather motivates and reduces the stress caused by the evaluations. The present investigation refers to the advantages of formative evaluation through gamification, to improve the English subject learning in medical sciences careers.
