Education plays an essential role in the formation of new generations, as a result of which knowledge, skills and habits are transmitted that prepare adolescents for life. The educational context currently faces dissimilar challenges that influence the pedagogical process, among which depression in adolescents is recognized, an issue to which special attention must be paid. There are various causes and consequences that depression brings with it, not only for learning but also for the postponement of work and personal goals and projects. The application of empirical research methods, such as: observation, survey and interview applied to students, managers, teachers and family members, allow the identification of the research problem. As a result, potentialities and insufficiencies are identified in preventing depression in students of the Interpreter Technician in Cuban Sign Language.
