The paper presents the essential elements of a book designed with the aim to fill gaps in the literature of Integrated English Practice to meet the necessary process of developing sociocultural competence in English in student-teachers of foreign languages. The book Sociocultural Panorama of English-Speaking Countries compiles materials with essential, relevant, and updated information about the culture and society of English-speaking peoples. It includes brief, illustrative, and meaningful materials for the student, which widen their cultural background and are endowed with potentialities for educational work. Following criteria of representativeness, the book is divided into units, each of which addresses a country in a given geographical region, its symbols, geography, social, economic, and political structures; as well as the customs and social norms of its people.
