The cuban collaborative encyclopedia "EcuRed" and their contribution to the scientific education of the society

Abstract

Present work exposes what is the Wiki, his most important characteristics and his utilization in the creation of digital encyclopedias, accomplishes Wikipedia's analysis like example of digital encyclopedia based in Wiki format and they indicate his perks and limitations. Immediately afterwards the Encyclopedia Colaborativa Cuban EcuRed is described like alternative project to Wikipedia, the reasons of his surging are mentioned and the characteristics thereof. At a later time is offered the organizational measures than the UCP Felix Varela of Villa Clara have undertaken for to propitiate of the creation of goods for EcuRed, besides are described the stock to realize to conduct the work of elaboration of goods and is offered the principal sources that can propitiate contents in order to enrich the encyclopedia. Finally the learning process ventures into EcuRed's utilization like tuition midway in the process of teaching-learning, in this sense, methodological recommendations are offered in order to contribute to the realization of a developing learning process.
