Abstract

This work was made by academic dedicated to transmit the office to investigate. They work in the Independent University of Querétaro, Mexico. Initially, they present its object of study: social representations on science and scientist. They is leaned in theories of representations: social (Moscovici), pedagogical (Dewey, Durkheim and Gramsci), psychological (Piaget and Vigotsky) and on science and scientist (Weber and Habermas). The methodology was oriented by the complex thought (Morin). They followed the method hermeneutic (Habermas and Heller), with the support of the techniques of focal groups and interviews. Students of the Faculties of Psychology (basic area of the degree in psychology) and of Natural Sciences (degree in Biology) collaborated to make this work. The results show social representations of teachers, students and Faculties on science and scientist. In the degree in Biology they support the scientific formation, not as much the one of other areas (philosophy, by case). In psychology there was no identification with the office to investigate. The innovation consisted of modifying educative practices so that the students reflected on their ideas, feelings and practices, in order to orient them to a desirable future. Also they modified them so that they took control of resources of the scientific office. Something went ahead, but lack way to cross.
