Abstract

The proposal aims to reflect on the different epistemological conceptions related to humanistic education, thus recognizing its importance for the student's integrality by taking into account the relationship established between the pre-university education model and the demands of the social context. The use of different theoretical methods favored the epistemological analysis carried out, which allowed the authors to identify the inadequacies of pre-university education where a reductionist and fragmented approach to the formative process prevails, in which academic activities are prioritized over others that favor the affective-volitional consolidation of the student as a result of the insufficient determination of the contents and functions of humanistic training in pre-university education. Based on the above, a new conception is revealed that considers the systematization of humanist axiological culture as an integrative element.
