Abstract

The article is aimed at exposing the authors' experience, related to the elaboration and use of educational software for the formation of elementary notions on sustainable agriculture, as content of Environmental Education, in the teaching-learning process of school-children with mental retardation. The software was designed according to the basic requirements for the elaboration of these didactic resources: use of texts, images, animations and sound, favoring the interactivity of the students with the environment. It has been observed that their use has favored the learning of the elementary notions on sustainable agriculture, contributed to the stimulation of the intellectual, affective, motivational processes and propitiated the correction and/or compensation of disorders in the motor functions and language in the students with mental retardation.
