In this work are exposed considerations about the chronology and the periodization as procedures of work to deepen and to reveal the educational potentialities that come from the study of a given figure. The potentialities that they offer came to light by means of the use of these procedures, as from the study of Fidel Castro Ruz's oratory, to determining the educational ideas on patriotism directed toward children. The results of work are inserted in the fact-finding project about the study of representative figures of the Cuban professorship.
