GOOD EDUCATIONAL PRACTICES IN SKILL DEVELOPMENT IN THE DIGITAL AGE

The information and knowledge society that characterizes the 21st century presents the educational system with new challenges, among which the development of transferable skills and competencies stands out as a basic strategy for producing relevant and effective learning outcomes for individuals throughout their lives. Consequently, teaching must be approached as a process of guiding learning, creating the conditions for students not only to acquire knowledge but also to develop skills and acquire strategies that enable them to act independently, with commitment and creativity, to solve the problems they will face in their personal and professional futures.

This is closely linked to the knowledge and culture of those involved in the educational process, not only to work with the concepts of their field of study but also to acquire the skills to access scientific advances contained in various sources and to perform cognitive information management, allowing them to transform that information into knowledge through the efficient use of technological resources.

Indeed, this issue, in its MONOGRAPH section, offers contributions that address research, innovations, and experiences in educational practice related to the aforementioned topic, adapted to the demands of contemporary society. This issue also features, in its EDUCATIONAL RESEARCH section, articles unrelated to the main theme, presenting the results of scientific work from different perspectives within the field of education. This issue will be completed as the review, editing, and layout of submitted articles are finalized, and will close at the end of August 2026.
