Abstract

This article presents the process of curricular redesign carried out by the Faculty of Architecture, seen from an edificatory perspective, in which it was expressed the institutional philosophy of the Michoacan University of San Nicolas de Hidalgo, a public institution of middle and higher education, where sustainable development is taken as a transversal axis, understanding this as a multi and interdisciplinary process. The methodology developed included the realization of a series of virtual workshops, where collaborative work was inserted as a strategy. It took into account the challenge facing contemporary education (adaptation to a rapid technological, social and economic change), emphasizing in the power of education as a postmodern weapon that, being well-designed, can empower our young people to change the world we have inherited today. The map of curriculum redesign is also presented in the paper as a result of the work.
