A vision of Heritage Education in Cuba from research

There have been several contributions from theory and practice to the development of Heritage Education in Cuba in recent years. However, a larger scientific activity is still required to deepen its development in the country. This article presents the results of the analysis of twenty-five published investigations that allow an approach to the current state of the subject. Through the Google Scholar search, these investigations are located that in the period from 2004 to 2020 allow, based on the work with various categories of analysis, to arrive at the fundamental characteristics of the subject and expose the main achievements and weaknesses. Results are offered on the trend in the number of publications per year, the main contributions to pedagogical theory and practice, the contributions made by educational levels, geographical spaces, the most used educational settings and the main transformations in the subjects in question. of the full development of cultural identity.
