Abstract

The work of vocational guidance in Higher Education proposes as the core development of professional identity. The research part of the experience of the authors at the University of Educational Sciences, currently built into the Central University "Marta Abreu" of Las Villas, from the race Bachelor of Arts Instructor. The problem is given by the motivational needs that students have in relation to teacher training, which has affected his tenure at the university. The solution is oriented towards the development of the teaching professional identity, from the potential offered by the discipline "Theory and Methodology of Art Education" which passes through the four years of the race. Pedagogical reflection workshops are planned for the first year, aimed at assessing the artistic and pedagogical work of art instructor at the school, proving its effectiveness.
