Educational scientific activity: an essential factor in the initial and continued formation of teachers

Abstract

In the present work some general concepts related to the scientific activity as an essential element in the teacher’s formation are approached and emphasizes the necessity of challenges towards educational professionalization including the initial formation and the continued. A general approach to the formation of teachers appears in the Latin American region and their main limitations stand out that prevent that they can assume the challenges that the social development imposes taking care of the realities of the particular contexts of its professional performance, in order to obtain an education of quality. The work emphasizes in addition in the initial formation and the continued formation to educational intimately bound to the scientific research and the scholastic practice.
