Abstract

The professional training and   the link between university-labor entity, constitute a permanent and systematic problem of interest for Cuban Higher Education, even when favorable results are demonstrated since the  University Reform in 1962. The work demonstrates how the link that is achieved between the university and the labor entity, mediated by the design of the main integrating discipline in a career. It   offers valuable tools for a better performance of the students, from the first years of their formation. In the research, an evolutionary or contemporary sequential design with a temporality perspective was used, in students from the first to the fourth year of this specialty, as well as the analysis of the results of a Lickert-type survey applied to teachers of the pedagogical group that design  the mentioned  discipline. As a result, it was possible to confirm the contribution of the assumed conception, for the development of the performance of the professional functions inherent to their future profession.
