The study of family is a universal and interdisciplinary topic since it has social, psychological and pedagogical connotation and because it is one of the main sociological and educational agents in the formation of personality of girls and boys, adolescences and youth, something which has a special fine distinction in our days. Up to this moment the Cuban educational reality has shown that the ways that have been used in the preparation of pupils' families (Schools of family education, home visits, family consultation and others), in spite of what has been accomplished, has not satisfied social aspirations in terms of the attainment of the highest quality in educational management in relation with coexistence and communication inside the family. In the majority of the cases, families only keep the analysis around learning results and behaviour, but not on the educational process. That is why it is necessary to improve the route to attain these goals , so expectations for the Primary School Model and social demands can be met. The present article has the objective of focusing on the content related to family education and its role in terms of basic learning for life, and leaning to live together and communicate with others, plus the methodological guidelines that teachers should use in workshops for their preparation.
