Characterization of the teaching-learning of Scratch in the training of the Computer Science teacher

The teaching of programming from an early age has boomed worldwide. Cuba joins this trend from the III Improvement facing the Education System. For this reason, it has become necessary to prepare the teachers who will take on this challenge, from their initial training. This paper aims to expose the research process carried out to characterize the teaching-learning process of Scratch, at the Universidad Central “Marta Abreu” de Las Villas, after two years this content began to be taught. The use of theoretical, empirical and statistical mathematical methods allowed us to carry out a bibliographic review on the subject, after which variables and indicators were determined that served as a guide to characterize this process. As a result, deficiencies were found in the learning of teachers in training and the need to develop teaching materials that can reverse this situation.
