INFORMATION MANAGEMENT: ESSENTIAL COMPONENT OF EDUCATIONAL SCIENTIFIC FORMATION AT THE PRESENT TIME

Abstract

The paper deals the information management and its influence in the scientific formation of the educative community to respond to the present demands of the society of computerization and the knowledge. The basic concepts related to the information, the knowledge and the management of the information are exposed, later to reflect in the changes that are pronounced in the processes related to the information, as a result of the impact of the technologies of the information and the knowledge, between that stand out: Web tools, academic and scientific networks, data bases,  on line journal, the bibliographical managers, the virtual environments of learning, the transit of culture printed to the ciber-culture, among others. Finally, the article deepens in the challenges that must face the teaching institutions to promote the effective use of the informational resources and the permanent update of the educational personnel in the management of the information, to obtain the change towards a centered educative model in the student, where this it evolves like manager of information, able to obtain the knowledge by himself and to learn to learn during all the life.
