Environmental education for sustainable development in the early childhood education curriculum

The purpose of preschool is to achieve the maximum possible integral development of every child, so that the role of the educator is to encourage preschool children the appropriation of a system of knowledge, habits and skills that will serve as a basis for developing love and care for the environment in which they are involved. This enables the promotion of an active and healthy participation in their environment. In this sense the preschool curriculum offers opportunities to provide treatment for environmental education from an integrated point of view. This article discusses how to give treatment from the curriculum of pre-school education to Environmental Education for Sustainable Development.
